Winter Woes

Winter often makes it hard to stay simultaneously fashionable and warm. From a night out to a casual dinner or even a professional engagement, booties are the ideal winter shoe. They can be easily paired with a pair of skinny jeans and turtleneck or a wool dress and tights. Don’t let the cold weather keep you from stepping out into winter’s adventures! All the Bright Moves Heel (www.modcloth.com)

Marchesa

Marchesa S/S 2011

I recently came across this Marchesa dress from the S/S ’11 collection that I had bookmarked some time ago. I have always adored Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig’s work and this dress is no different. I shall use acquiring this dress as inspiration to complete my first law school final with enthusiasm.

Just Be.

“Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future.” – Coco Chanel

Fashion is fickle while style is perpetual. Style is carrying yourself with confidence, regardless of what you’re wearing. It’s walking into a room full of strangers with your head held high, aware that you have something unique and substantial to offer. It’s knowing that you’ve worked hard to be where and who you are and allowing yourself to bask in that glory. But style doesn’t rest on its laurels. It wakes up every morning and pushes you to be your best and in doing so, look your best. It reminds you that you owe it to yourself to do so- that no matter what happens in your personal life, you always put your best foot forward. Style is leading with a smile and a positive attitude. Show the world who you are through your own personal style. Let yourself be beautiful- in your own special way. Don’t try to conform to someone else’s idea of what is perfect; you are perfect. I believe the key to success is just allowing yourself to be, tune into your natural style- your natural calling. Just let it flow; just be.

Exclusively. In Event: San Jose: Madhuri Parson

Madhuri Parson hails from the gorgeous city of New York. Although the art of jewelry-making has been in her family for many generations, she has been in business for but a year- but you wouldn’t even know it. She has already been showcased in various magazines- ‘The Examiner’ being one- and was even one of the most talented artists at the Barclay & Jaguar Cocktails and Catwalk event during London Jewelry Week. Moreover, she sells her exquisite jewelry at Harvey Nichols in London. Upon meeting her, it is obvious that she truly loves what she does. Her bubbly personality is truly infectious and her style aesthetic is impeccable. She, along with other Exclusively. In featured designers, will be in San Francisco tomorrow at the Sheraton at Fisherman’s Wharf from 12-5pm. I would bespeak you not miss out on the opportunity to view this collection first hand! (My apologies for the Shakespearean pedanticism-it’s what happens when you’re in the midst of studying tort claims from the 1900s Court of Exechequer. =/)
